I Believe....

A friend sent this to me and it really hit me hard. I am really trying to change some things about myself this year and even though I still have a lot of work to do. I know the things below are true.

I Believe -

A birth certificate shows that we were born; a death certificate shows that we died; pictures show that we lived!

I believe - That just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other. And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.

I believe - That we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.

I believe - That no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I believe - That true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.

I believe - That you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.

I believe - That it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.

I believe - That you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

I believe - That you can keep going long after you think you can't.

I believe - That we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

I believe - That either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I believe - That heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

I believe - That money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I believe - That sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.

I believe - That sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I believe - That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I believe - That it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I believe - That no matter how bad your heart is broken, the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I believe - That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

I believe - Two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.

I believe - That your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you.

I believe - That even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you - you will find the strength to help.

I believe - That credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.

I believe - The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything hey have.

I believe-The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.'

I believe I can accomplish all these things if I take the time each day to pray, and think of others.

Brandon's Special Day!

On Friday April 4th our son Brandon made us all very proud. He went through the temple and took out his endowments. It was a very spiritual and emotional day. Lis and Kendal came for the weekend and we were all at the temple to share in Brandon's special day. Cody was unable to miss school and be with us. Kendahl waited with Jaxson for us and he was sooo good for her.

It was really wonderful to be in the temple with some of our family and to feel the Lord's spirit there with us.

Sisterly Love!

Johnny, Brittany & Jaxson

Later that night we went back to Brittany's because Lis and Scott were going with Brandon to get his Patriarticle blessing. Cody and I hung out with Johnny, Brittany, Kendahl and Jaxson. After they got back we talked awhile and had ice-cream. For any who don't know her, that is Lis's lap I am sitting in. Going to the temple with someone you really care about can change your heart. Here is to the start of a new friendship.

We got there just in time to see Jaxson get his dinner. There is no doubt in anyones's mind that he doesn't like green beans. He was screaming and crying and spitting and kicking. He even sneezed once and shot green beans across the room. We told Britt the next time she feeds him any veggies she should get a shield so her clothes don't get ruined. We were all laughing because he is so dang cute. But the truth is he had a very long day and was so tired. He was so good at the temple and didn't give his Aunt Kendahl a bit of trouble. After he ate, his daddy gave him a nice warm bath and his Mommy rocked him and the little cutie fell asleep and looked like an Angel.

I can't understand why he doesn't want to eat....especially with mommy helping him by opening her mouth each time she wants him to open his mouth....LOL. I'm teasing Britt. I actually think it's kind of cute.

The Story Of The Purse

Since I have gone back to work I have been wanting a new purse. I seem to carry a lot more with me these days and the one I was useing was just too small. I have been looking for 3 months and couldn't find anything I like and when I did it was way to much money. Then my step-daughter Brittany went shopping with her friend and found this really great one........

Of course I couldn't go and buy the same one even though I wanted to...LOL. So I continued to look, and look, and look! I'm from the old school where you have a white one for spring and summer, a brown one for fall and a black one for winter. Now I know the fashion rules have changed a lot over the years but as I said....I'm old.I wanted to get something updated, and fun without looking like I was trying to be 18 again. White was totally out, my life is just to busy and messy for white, and I was tired of black. And then I found this.....it's a different color than I have ever had, it has a little bling on it with rhinstones and it's big enough for all my junk.....isn't it cute?

Family Home Evening

Well like most families that participate in FHE we take turns making the treats, picking the game, giving the lesson, etc. This week it was Scott's turn to make the treat. I really thought he would just open the cookie jar, sit it on the counter and tell us we were having Oreo's. But....he really surprised me. He made truffles and they were really, really good. I was so proud of him for not taking the easy way out. Great job Honey!
