Pretty In Pink

Our sweet granddaughter Brooklyn is on her way. We thought Mommy Brittany needed a baby shower to celebrate.

I didn't make this diaper cake, but it sure is cute! I just love pink and brown together.

Adorable cookies were made by my good friend Becca Bevanhttp://beccascookies.blogspot.com/

I ordered the candy bar wrappers from an online company. I really don't remember the name but you can get really cute ones from Rebekah over at "A Blissful Nest"

I used some of the presents like the cute teddy bear as decorations.

I started buying clothes the minute she told us she was pregnant...LOL

Brittany with her Aunt Holly and cousin Hilary. It was so good to see them. We don't get together as much as we would like.

Britt with some sweet little girls that live in her neighborhood. They sure were cute!

Cute Andrea and her Mom and sister.

Brittany with our good family friends, Saundra, Tammy and cute little Maycee.

Our handsome grandson Jaxson and sweet Maycee having a treat after the baby shower.

My son Cody bought this for his soon to arrive niece Brooklyn. She won't be able to wear it for awhile but he liked it and picked it out himself.

Brittany's friends and family were so sweet and very generous. She got so many beautiful things at the shower.

I love you Brittany. I hope you enjoyed your shower.

The beautiful paper flowers and invitations were made by Tammy Hanney at Show And Tell Design.
Thanks Tammy for always doing such a great job and being such a sweet friend!

Sisterly Love

If you know anything about me at all you know how close I am to my sister. My Mom died when I was 16 and my sister stepped in and became my second Mom. There is almost 20 years between us. She was the first born and I am the baby of the family. But we are as close as two sisters can be. She has been my best friend, my Mom, my sister, a shoulder to cry on, an ear that listens, a shopping buddy, a pop corn and movie buddy and the list goes on. There is only one negative about my sister....she lives in Florida and that is just too far away!!

My sisters name is Marinita but many people can't pronounce it (including me when I was young) so she has many nicknames. Sissy, Nita, Neat. My kids love their Aunt Sissy and are always so excited to see her when she comes. I think Nic and Nat are as close to her as her own daughters, and she loves my children with all her heart. She recently came for a week to visit to help celebrate my daughter Nicole's 30th birthday.  We had so much fun. Here are just a few pictures from her visit. We hope she knows how much we love her. And miss her.

My daughter Nicole with her Aunt Sissy. These two are TROUBLE when they get together...LOL

I'm not sure what they are doing to the poor bunny, but he will never be the same!

Johnny, Jaxson, Brittany and Aunt Sissy. My sister has not been around my step-children very much but she loves them and enjoyed getting to know them better this trip.

My husband Scott and my sister have always really liked each other. They really hit it off the first time they met.

Me and my sis!

Sissy and my son-in-law T-Bone have a very special relationship. I think he is her favorite..LOL

My granddaughter Paige and grandson Jaxson

My step-daughter Brittany...there will be a new little one the next time Aunt Sissy comes to visit. And her name will be Brooklyn.

I call this one...Hear No Evil, See No Evil, and Do It!!...LOL

Paige really loves her Great-Aunt Sissy and made her a card and brought her a rose.

We love ya Sissy. We hope you enjoyed your visit as much as we did. We hope Uncle Johnny can come next time. It just wasn't the same without him.

Nicole's Family Birthday Party

My oldest daughter Nicole hit the big 30!! We had the family over for some pizza to celebrate, and to get some pictures of her big day.

The Birthday Girl!

Make A Wish!

Nicole and my younger daughter Natalie. I guess sisterly love just runs in the family. Because they are pretty close!

The girls!!

Just being silly!

I hope she doesn't tip all the pizza guys like that...LOL

Happy Birthday Nicole!!
