NATALIE!

Natalie's life is really changing. She has been working nights for the post office for awhile now but looking for a day time job. She just recently found one at the Oxbo Jail. She has also lost about 50 pounds( anyone who has ever had to lose weight knows how hard that can be). She is such a hard worker and good hearted person. We are so proud of her and what she is trying to do to make a good life for herself. We love you honey!

THANKSGIVING WEEKEND

This Thanksgiving was a little different for us. We only saw 3 of our six kids and didn't see either of our son-in-laws. Nicole and T usually go to his parents for Thanksgiving and our house for Christmas. Brandon is on his mission, and it was strange not to see him. We miss him a lot. Kendahl was in Washington with her mom (but we will see her Christmas).Johnny had to work Thanksgiving but Brittany and Jaxson came over for turkey later in the day. We did have Natalie and Cody for an early lunch. Nat had to work so we had our turkey feast at 11:30 and then Scott, Cody and I went to the movies. We saw Four Christmas's...not good...not good at all! But we had a great day and are so thankful for all the many blessings we have in our lives.

I worked on Friday and it was busy but fun.

Saturday Scott and I got up early and went to Mimi's Cafe for breakfast, did a few hours of Christmas shopping and then went to a movie. We saw the new James Bond movie Quantum of Solace. It was pretty good.

Here it is Sunday morning and I am blooging, getting ready for church and wondering if there is enough turkey left for just one more sandwich. Later today we will watch the movie Passage to Zarahemla and then Monday morning will come all too soon. Hope your holiday weekend was a blast!

I love my little turkey. Can you see his feet are made from little forks...he is so stinking cute!

Cody and his favorite part of the turkey!

Thank you for another wonderful Thanksgiving Honey...I love you!

Cricket, Scott and Natalie.

I can't believe my baby is almost 16 and is already 6'3...where has the time gone!

Mom and one of her chickies.

Wow, I have not had a picture of these two together in years. They have both changed so much.

Cricket, Scott and Cody.

Brittany and Jxson came over for leftovers and a great visit. It was wonderful to see them.

Brittany brought Bailee with her. She and Nikyu had not seen each other in a long time. They really love each other and love to play together.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I am so thankful for so many things and so many people in my life. Here are just a few. But the list could go on and on.....

* My Father in Heaven and our Savior Jesus Christ. The love they have shown to me and the blessings they have sent to me are the most precious gift I have ever received.

* My testimony of the the restored gospel.

* My wonderful Husband. The love, respect and devotion to me and our marriage sustains me when life gets rough. You are the best Honey....I love you.

* My children. What a blessing and true gift from heaven above. I love them more than they will ever know.

* My sweet grandchildren and great-grandchild. There is nothing like seeing your child become a parent. The sweet love and sweet smell of a baby....there is nothing like it in the world.

* My true friends that have been there for me through thick and thin. Thank you!

* My boss and co-workers. I feel so blessed to work at a place that brings me joy and to work with the wonderful sweet ladies of Anastasia's. And I couldn't ask for a better friend and boss than I have in Tara. Happy Thanksgiving ladies!

* To live in such a beautiful State. I love watching the seasons change.

* Chocolate.....yes I am thankful for chocolate. It is that little bit or (bite) of peace when the day is crazy...LOL

* As I said the list is endless. I am so thankful for the life I have, the people that are in my life and all the blessings that are given to me each day. My Father in heaven is so good to me and I acknowledge his hand in all good things.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of my dear family and friends.

It's Almost Turkey Day!

'Twas the night of Thanksgiving, but I just couldn't sleep.

I tried counting backwards; I tried counting sheep.

The leftovers beckoned the dark meat and white,

But I fought the temptation with all of my might.

Tossing and turning with anticipation,

The thought of a snack became infatuation.

So, I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door

And gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore.

I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes,

Pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes.

I felt myself swelling so plump and so round,

Till all of a sudden I rose off the ground.

I crashed through the ceiling, floating into the sky,

With a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie.

But, I managed to yell as I soared past the trees

Happy eating to all, pass the cranberries, please!

May your stuffing be tasty; may your turkey be plump.

May your potatoes ' n gravy have nary a lump.

May your yams be delicious; may your pies take the prize,

May your Thanksgiving dinner stay off of your thighs.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!!!!

Twilight the Movie!

OK, so last night I was one of the lucky people that got to see Twilight the night before it came to theaters. My boss is a real sweetie and got us tickets to a private showing....thanks again Tara...you are simply the BEST!

I never go see a movie AFTER I have read the book, but thought I would do it just this once. The movie was true to the first book, but of course moved a long so fast.

You know when you read a book your imagination lets you see in your mind what the people look like, what they sound like etc.....well in my mind Edward was very handsome and very sexy. I thought the actor who played him was so UGLY!!!!!! But....he and Bella are good together. Maybe it's because he is an adult but is supposed to look like a 17 year old guy. I have a son that is almost 16 and I guess the boy thing just doesn't do it for me...LOL. I did like the actress that played Bella, I thought she did a fantastic job.

So to sum it up...It was true to the book, Bella and Edward were good together,it had many funny parts, Edward is NOT hot and I may or may not go see the next one when it comes out.....maybe...just to see how Jacob is portrayed.

Through The Window

We should all think about this one!!!!

Through the Window

A young couple moves into a new neighborhood.

The next morning while they are eating breakfast, the young woman sees her neighbor hanging the wash outside.

"That laundry is not very clean", she said. "She doesn't know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap"

Her husband looked on, but remained silent.

Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry, the young woman would make the same comments.

About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband: "Look, she has learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this?"

The husband said, "I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows."

And so it is with life. What we see when watching others, depends on the purity of the window through which we look.

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY JAXSON!!

FUN! FUN! FUN!...LOOK WHO JUST TURNED ONE!!!!!!!!!

Today we went to a birthday party for our grandson Jaxson. We still can't believe he is one years old already. He is so loved by all that know him. It was fun watching him open his presents and watching his face as his mom and dad gave him his cake.

Kendahl, Lis and John were in town, and it was great to see them. But we were all missing Brandon.

We hope Jaxson knows how much we love him and how he is always in our thoughts and prayers. Funny how a granchild can just melt your heart. Happy birthday sweet boy!

Grandpa Scott, Grandma Cricket & Cousin Paige.

Wow...look at all of these really cool presents. I'm a lucky boy!

Let's see what Uncle Cody gave me....

Soft squishy balls from Paige.

I think he liked the piggy bank we gave him.

Johnny, Brittany, Jaxson and John Childs.

Wow...I think I like this present thing!

Family and friends watching him open his presents.

Brittany made Jaxson an Elmo cake. She did a really good job too.

Hey Mom...let me see that cake.

He wasn't sure what to do with it at first. But his mom helped him out and then he really got into it.

WooooHoooo...my first birthday cake!

Hey...if I can't get it all in my mouth..how about my ears. Isn't he sooo stinking cute!!!

Oh Baby...this is good cake!

Hey...you want some cake. It's good, my mommy made it!

First he pokes Elmo in the eye...

Then he eats his eye!

His Grammy Lis gave him a bath afterwards and he came back all happy and clean and wanting to play with his toys.

Hanging out with Uncle Cody.

Jaxson's girlfriend Alaynah...isn't she adorable!

After he was all cleaned up his girlfriend decided to give him a little birthday hug. But he is playing hard to get...LOL
