HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY JAXSON!!

FUN! FUN! FUN!...LOOK WHO JUST TURNED ONE!!!!!!!!!

Today we went to a birthday party for our grandson Jaxson. We still can't believe he is one years old already. He is so loved by all that know him. It was fun watching him open his presents and watching his face as his mom and dad gave him his cake.

Kendahl, Lis and John were in town, and it was great to see them. But we were all missing Brandon.

We hope Jaxson knows how much we love him and how he is always in our thoughts and prayers. Funny how a granchild can just melt your heart. Happy birthday sweet boy!

Grandpa Scott, Grandma Cricket & Cousin Paige.

Wow...look at all of these really cool presents. I'm a lucky boy!

Let's see what Uncle Cody gave me....

Soft squishy balls from Paige.

I think he liked the piggy bank we gave him.

Johnny, Brittany, Jaxson and John Childs.

Wow...I think I like this present thing!

Family and friends watching him open his presents.

Brittany made Jaxson an Elmo cake. She did a really good job too.

Hey Mom...let me see that cake.

He wasn't sure what to do with it at first. But his mom helped him out and then he really got into it.

WooooHoooo...my first birthday cake!

Hey...if I can't get it all in my mouth..how about my ears. Isn't he sooo stinking cute!!!

Oh Baby...this is good cake!

Hey...you want some cake. It's good, my mommy made it!

First he pokes Elmo in the eye...

Then he eats his eye!

His Grammy Lis gave him a bath afterwards and he came back all happy and clean and wanting to play with his toys.

Hanging out with Uncle Cody.

Jaxson's girlfriend Alaynah...isn't she adorable!

After he was all cleaned up his girlfriend decided to give him a little birthday hug. But he is playing hard to get...LOL

Weekend With Paige

Friday I picked Paige up from School so she could spend the weekend with us. After dinner and a yummy cucpcake for dessert. It was bath time, snuggle time with Uncle Cody, a movie and bed. We have a big day tomorrow. And she is excited about seeing Aunt Kendahl who is in town for Jaxson's birthday.

Saturday: We went to the Gateway and then to a party for Jaxson.

We stopped at the book store before going to lunch and Paige picked a book about sharks and she also picked a book about animals for Jaxson.

Okay, last week we saw this place on the news called "The Counter Burger" and it is at the Gateway. It sounded like a neat place to try and Oprah has said it is her favorite place to get a burger. Wow...what an experience. When you first get there they give you a clipboard and a pencil. You start by picking what kind of burger you want. Hamburger, grilled chicken sandwich or veggie burger.

Then you pick what size (if it's a burger) 1/3 lb., 2/3 lb or a 1 lb. burger. Yes...Scott and Cody both got the 1 lb. burger....the little piggies!

Then you pick what kind of cheese and toppings, then what kind of sauce and then what type of bun. Believe me the list is endless. It was really fun. The food was GREAT and the staff was really friendly and helpful for us first timers. We loved it and yes...a few of you are getting a gift certificate from there for Christmas.

We started out with the Triple Threat. Since all menu items are sold Ala Carte this is the best value for your money. You get french fries, onion strings, and sweet potato fries....YUM!

Scott's burger had cheese, sprouts, onions, lettuce, and a fried egg, with some kind of really tasty sauce, can't remember what it was.I'm not into having a fried egg on my burger but from what they told me there it is really popular. Scott loved it even though he could only eat half of the burger. I know what he is having for dinner!

Paige's grilled cheese. Can you say GIGANTIC? That is a lot of sandwich for a 5 year old!

Cricket's grilled chicken with swiss cheese, lettuce, grilled pineapples and sesame giner sauce. It was soooo good. Could only eat half. Next time Scott and I are going to split something.

Cody's burger was 1 lb. He had imported swiss cheese, grilled onions, pickles and bbq sauce.

The guys will probably kill me for these pictures but I just had too...LOL. They both could only finish one half of their burgers and had to bring the rest home. But they gave it a good try!

No shopping trip would be complete without a stop at the candy store. Paige got a blue sucker. And now we are off to Johhny and Brittany's to help Jaxson celebrate his first birthday. We are so excited to see everyone.

Early Sunday morning before Grandpa and Uncle Cody got up, Paige and Grandma were up making yummy muffins.

Triple Berry Muffins...One of Uncle Brandon's favorites. We sure wish he was here to share them with us.
