Elder Brandon J Scott Heffron

Well, the countdown is over. Last night we all got to be with Brandon as his Bishop and Stake President set him apart as an Elder. We then went back to Johnny and Brittany's for dessert and a little family time.

Today is MTC Day! We are all so happy/sad today. We started the day at Johnny and Brittany's house at 8:00 this morning with a family breakfast for Brandon. Thank you Lis for making the wonderful sausage and french toast for all of us. We gathered as a family, had breakfast together,laughed, took pictures and tried not to cry. Scott and Lis have raised Brandon his whole life with the knowledge that he would one day serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We as a family believe it is a very honorable and wonderful thing to do. We love out Heavenly Father and are more than happy to do whatever we can to serve him and help build up his kingdom. BUT.....it is hard to let your child go for two years....we will miss him so much.




Brandon has sevearl friends also entering the MTC this month and a few of them today at the same time as him.

Brandon's Uncle Steve (Lis's brother) came to spend the day with us. It was so good to meet him. What a nice man, and I know Brandon loved him being there.

Cody and Brandon have become really close over the years and Cody is really going to miss him. But what a great example Brandon is for Cody.

In the car on the way to the MTC. Brandon and Cody were teasing about making a run for it and jumping out at the next red light. But it was all in fun. Brandon is nervous but ready to spend the next two years serving our Lord.

Graduation Day!

OH MY Heck...I can't believe Paige is already done with preschool and moving on to Kindergarten. She is growing up so fast. And even though I am loving the chance to be with her and watch her grow, I also want it to slow down. She is so smart and so cute and I love her so very much.
