Friday night I had to bake 144 cookies for the cookie Exchange at Regina's. The girls showed up to help.....Thank Goodness.

Friday night we invited our neighbors over. Kevin and Tana Hemmert and their kids. We had goodies and played games. I have not laughed so much in a long time.

Decorating The Tree

Last year the kids told me they would like to have a more traditional tree this year instead of my fancy gold one. For those of you who know me and how much I love my gold tree you know how hard that was. But Christmas including the tree is for the whole family...not just me. So kicking and screaming...LOL... I let go of the control and let them do it. I paced for awhile and then put the hooks on the ornaments while they did the decorating. I was really nervous but it turned out great and we all love it.

No guys...it goes on the tree. It's garland not a winter scarf for three!
The tree is all red, white and silver and they are so proud of themselves!

Kendahls First Date

There is a tradition with the Heffron kids that when they turn 16 they are allowed to date. BUT....they must have their first date with their parent. Brittany and Brandon did it and now it is Kendahl's turn. There was a lot of teasing about Cricket letting Scott go out with a much younger woman but as you can see they sure made a great looking pair.
Her date gave her beautiful roses, took her to a nice restaurant,took her to play air hockey and then out for ice-cream.
He was met at the door by her step-mom and asked all the important questions like...do you have a valid drivers license, proof of insurance and oh yes....what where his grades on his last report card. He opened doors for her, treated her with respect, and had her home on time. I would difinitely let him take her out again but I have a feeling she will be really busy with guys her own age!

Thanksgiving 2007

Thanksgiving Weekend was nice. We had friends over for dinner, Kendahl was down, Nicole and her family were away celebrating with T's family. Natalie joined us for awhile, and Brittany,Johnny, Brandon and baby Jaxson came by. We put up the tree and decorated the house, and of course ate too much.


Good friends Tom & Meredith Fischer joined us for Thanksgiving dinner.

Scott and I both love being grandparents. How rewarding to watch your children to grow up and have children of their own. Oh....the things they will learn!


Waiting for Baby Jaxson to make his grand entrance. Brittany sure does look good for someone who has been in active labor for hours. Maybe she looks so peacful because her room had a beauitful view of the Temple all lite up. What a beautiful thing for him to see as he enters this world.

Jaxson Armstron Derbidge joined us on November 9, 2007. Boy what a cutie. He is such a good natured little boy. What a blessing he is to the whole family. He needed a little oxygen at first but is getting stronger everyday.

Paige will be 5 years old in March. Oh My Gosh...how did that happen? It seems just like

yesterday that her sweet spirit joined our family. She hangs out with Grandma every Tuesday

and we have a lot of fun. But that won't last too much longer. She will be starting school very

soon. I have been watching her full time and then part time since the day she was born and

we share a very special bond. But she really loves her Grandpa too! She is soooo smart and surprises us each day with something new she has learned.
