Hanging Out With Jaxson

Today we got to hang out with Jaxson while his mom went to take care of some errands. We had so much fun. As soon as Scott heard I was watching Jaxson he came home from work early. He is such a QT and those eyes.....oh my heck they are sooo blue. We love you tons Jaxson and had a blast playing with you.We are also glad Mommy decided to stay and have dinner with us. Being with Family is the most important thing you can do with your time.

Hey Grandma....I think we need to change the channel...some of these cartoons are pretty wild!

I think I feel a blankie moment coming on.

Playing with toys and the dog and grandpa and watching TV really makes me sleepy. I think I will take a nap.

I got your nose Uncle Cody

Playing with grandpa

Hey...will somebody let the dog in. He is slobbering all over the door!

Making Easter Cookies

I invited my oldest daughter Nicole and my granddaughter Paige over to bake and decorate Easter cookies and cupcakes. We thought it would be a lot of fun to invite Micayla (nicole's best friend) and her daughter Nevy to come too...and it was fun!!

We started with a basic brown paper gift bag. They had stickers of all kinds. I think they both did a great job. I filled them with all kinds of treats and prizes before they left. Then we decorated cupcakes that I had already baked and the girls cut out cookies and we baked and decorated those. What a fun day it was. Of course I'm taking the pictures so I'm not in them...I really need to stop that!

Decorating the goodie bags.

Ok Mom...lets get these cookies in the oven!

Here Mom...have a taste.

The best thing about making cookies and cupcakes...is EATING THEM!!

I Love My Job

As most of you already know I am the manager of Anastasia's Attic at Gardner Village. Each day we have the most wonderful people come in. I really love all of our customers. They bring a wonderful joy with them as they browse our store looking for wonderful treasures. I have come to know many of them by name and they have become part of the Anastasia's Family. What you may or may not know is I have several close friends and coworkers that also work in the film industry. They get to work with some really big named stars. I don't get all twitterpated over it and it's really not a big deal to me. They are my good friends and they just happen to work with movie stars...LOL. But....every now and then I do get to meet someone who I really admire and adore. It's not at a book signing or on the red carpet of a movie opening. It's at Anastasia's Attic...where the famous people shop....LOL

I got to meet my favorite author Anita Stansfield, and talk with her and her sisters. I also got an autograph. That was so amazing. She was so sweet.

I have an autographed picture from the actor Ray Leota. He is such a great actor and I have seen everything he has ever been in.

And on Thursday I had the pleasure of meeting Matthew Davis. I first saw Matt in the LDS version of "Beauty And The Beast" My step-daughter Kendahl and I agreed he was a super hottie. But we also loved the romantic happy ending movie. We are both a sucker for a clean, romantic movie with a happy ending. It didn't hurt that Matt was soooo easy to look at.

From what we hear on the news and read in the tabloids (which I don't) but all you have to do is glance at them while you are waiting in the check out line at the grocery store we know there are many spoiled, over paid brats in Hollywood. BUT...what I have come to know through my friends and my occasional meeting is that there are many, many wonderful caring, generous, humble, loving people in the film industry too. They are grateful to be able to do what they do. And they give back in many ways. Thanks for the picture Matt. It was fun getting to know you just a little.
