Happy Birthday To Me!!

Wow....I'm 50 years old!! I can remember being 13 and thinking I am finally a teenager and the number 50 didn't even seem possible! Trying on"Teenager Clothes" make-up, having sleepovers with my best friend Tira and staying up laughing and talking about boys! Now I'm alseep before 9:00 ...LOL
My sweet husband gave me the sweetest present for my birthday...a 50's party. Complete with decorations, great food,  a hunky DJ to take care of the karaoke music, wonderful family and friends. My daughter Nicole, her husband T-Bone, my granddaughter paige and my daughter Natalie got me the coolest cake ever! It was soooo much fun. Thank you so much Sweetheart. You said you wanted it to be a night all about me having fun and I did. And thank you to all those who came to help me celebrate. Your love, and friendship means the world to me.

The cake was amazing!! And a friend of mine who makes the best cookies in the world made poodle skirts and record sugar cookies as the party favors.

This will always be my favorite cake. And believe me I have had a lot of cakes...remember I am now 50!!

Poodle Skirt Cookies

Record cookies. Sorry this isn't the greatest picture. But these cookies really are amazing. Rebecca does the most beautiful work. And they are soo good too!! She did snowflakes for our Relief Society Christmas dinner and will be doing something really specail for my daughters baby shower!

Happy Birthday Brandon

Happy Birthday to our wonderful son Brandon. He is serving a mission for the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We miss him so much but are sooo proud of him and know he will be blessed for all he is doing. Can't wait to see you and hug you in June. Love you "B" Happy Birthday!

Hanging Out With Good Friends

What a great way to start the New Year...hanging out with wonderful old friends. We have known Saundra Walters, her husband (the late Mike Walters) for a long time. We have shared a lot of laughter and tears over the years. Their kids and mine grew grew up together. Tammy is now married to a great guy named Aaron whom we also love. They have a little girl named Maycee who honestly couldn't be any cuter or sweeter. We feel blessed to have such loving and wonderful people as friends...actually it is more like family!!
