New Years Eve!

Each Year on New Years Eve we get together with a group of neighbors and play games and eat. We have a really good time together, we all get along well and we all look forward each year to getting together to ring in the new year. The games are fun, the food is good but the friendship is GREAT! I love my neighbors and my neighborhood!

MOVIE MADNESS

For all of you that know me you probably know Scott and I love to go to the movies and usually go at least 3 times a month. Our kids are kind enough to give us gift certificates on Christmas and birthdays so that really helps with paying for our little hobby...LOL. By choice we never go to "R" rated movies so that really narrows it down on the choices. Seems like if they are not cussing like crazy or naked they don't want to make a movie about it. I have seen some really good movies this past year but these are some of my worse picks.Make sure to leave me a comment on what your best or worse movie picks of the year were.

OK, my all time pick for worse movie of the year.... yep....I hated it. I loved the books but hated the movie. I never go see a movie after I have read the book but broke my own rule. The makeup was hideous, the acting was luke warm, and Edward....he was not the sexy, vampire guy that was in my book. And who picked Bella...OMG...she was lame. BUT...they tell me the director for the next one will be a different guy so maybe there is hope on the horizon for all the millions of fans.

OK...this one was a sleeper for sure. Soooo Loooong and no meat to it. I thought it was never going to end and then when it did...wow..what a disappointment.

This one was at least filled with a little suspense....I'm starting to worry about Will. Is he just slipping or not taking the time to pick great roles anymore. I realize this was a 2007 movie and not from this year. But I thought I would throw it in since I was talking about how bad his choices have become. I am a big Will Smith fan....or at least I used to be.

It was OK, but not his usual quality....

Stupid.....Stupid....Stupid!

Christmas Morning

We have a large blended family. And with Brandon on his mission and the other kids growing up, getting married, having kids and having in-laws and other family obligations we had to do Christmas Day in shifts. Johnny, Brittany, Kendahl Jaxson and Brandon (by long distance phone call) were with us for Christmas breakfast.
Natalie showed up just after Breakfast for a little while before she had to go to work, and then we had Nicole, T-Bone, Paige, Cody, and Kendahl for dinner. It was a little different this year but it was wonderful to just get to be with all of our kids in some way. We love each of them and are proud of them. They and our grandchildern are our greatest treasures.

As most of you know Brandon is on a mission for the church. He is in Mexico and can only call home twice a year. We were so excited to get to talk to him on Christmas. Scott hooked up speakers to his cell phone and we put a picture of Brandon beside it and had so much fun talking to him. He was cracking us up. And Jaxson could hear his voice but not see him so he was making funny faces trying to figure out where he was. He is doing great on his mission. We love him and miss him and are very proud of him. BUT...we can't wait until he is back with all of us for the holidays again.

Laughing at some of the funny things Brandon was saying on the phone.

Johnny, Brittany and Jaxson.

Looks like Johnny is going to Cabela's

Look Mommy, it's a Tiger!

Jaxson opening his presents and of course like most kids his age he liked the wrapping paper the best...LOL

Where is Jaxson????

There he is!

Last year Jaxson was so little he only stared at us but this year he was so much fun. He was laughing and making silly faces, talking and crawling and trying to climb the stairs. Oh what a difference a year makes.

Christmas Afternoon

If you have been dreaming of a white Christmas you should have been here.Christmas afternoon we got hit with a nasty snow storm that left behind a ton of snow.

Nikyu got a a rawhide candy cane for Christmas. He went straight outside to bury it...guess he won't see it again til Spring....LOL

Christmas Night

Cricket got a blackberry phone with a lot of games and music for it.

Scott got a 24 inch flat screen monitor for his computer.

Paige opening her presents...I love this one.

Grandma went a little overboard on the Easy bake oven mixes and accessories, but I wanted her to have enough to last awhile.

Her Leapster learning game.

What kid wouldn't love a Sponge Bob snowcone maker...LOL
